Semenyo moved to Bournemouth from Bristol City in early 2023 and quickly became an essential part of manager Andoni Iraola's plans. He has scored 8 goals and provided 2 assists in 31 Premier League games during his first full season with the Cherries.

Because of his excellent performance, Semenyo was nominated for the Premier League's Player of the Month award in March.
The voting period for Bournemouth's Supporter's Player of the Season prize is currently open; only those who played ten or more competitive first-team games are qualified.
The winner will receive their honor on the field following the final home game versus Brentford on May 11.
Regrettably, another talented young footballer, Mohammed Kudus, did not make the cut for the Premier League's Young Player of the Season selection.
Despite having an outstanding rookie year in England's top division, where he contributed to 18 goals (13 goals and 5 assists), Kudus wasn't included among the eight candidates vying for the accolade.
Instead, the Premier League selected Erling Haaland and Phil Foden from Manchester City, Arsenal's Bukayo Saka and William Saliba, Newcastle United's Alexander Isak, Manchester United teenager Kobby Mainoo, and Spurs defender Destiny Udogie. It remains unclear why Kudus didn't join them.
