From the start, Angola came out strongly in search of an early lead. But the Nigerian goalkeeper stood firm and saved a shot from Mabululu in the fifth minute.
It wasn't until the 41st minute that things started to look up for Nigeria, when Moses Simon delivered a perfect pass to Lukeman, who then expertly finished a drive under the bar
But the excitement didn’t stop. Victor Osimhen almost doubled Nigeria’s lead with a stunning header after a free kick, but unfortunately the ball was disallowed due to offside status
Angola fought back, but despite their efforts, they could not breach the Nigerian defence. And when the final whistle sounded, Nigeria had done it - they had booked their place in the semi-finals!
So, what’s next for the Super Eagles? They will face either Cape Verde or South Africa depending on the outcome of their match on Saturday night.
But one thing is for sure: Nigeria are hungry to win and determined to bring home a fourth AFCON title. Way to go, Super Eagles!
