The Nigerian singer was originally scheduled to perform on Day 1, but Ghanaian sensation Shatta Wale took his place on the roster.
The multi-award-winning performer opened the show with a spectacular performance that had the audience glued to their seats the entire time.
At Afrochella, a lot of other artists performed, like Asake, Pheelz, Praye, Kidi, Kwaw Kese, and Mzbel.
In the meantime, dancehall phenom Shatta Wale has expressed his happiness over the successful headline shows hosted by Ghanaian artists.
On December 27, the creator of "On God" took to his Twitter page to congratulate rapper Black Sherif, Medikal, Criss Waddle, Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, and Criss Waddle for holding successful shows during the holiday season.
Shatta praised Ghanaian music fans for their love and support of local artists and referred to the aforementioned artists as his brothers.
"I think this year is my most joyful year of all time. "Seeing me and my brothers win together is just too much for me... Clap for Ghana... MDK, WADDLE, SARK, STONE BLACKO, etc."
